A Family Story
It all began in a small shop in Damascus. In 1971, my grandfather, Mohammad Khaled Tayara, started his journey crafting leather bags in the Salhieh district. From that moment, craftsmanship became part of our family's identity. As children, my brother and I spent hours in his workshop — watching, learning, and falling in love with the smallest details. That passion never left us. We grew up and turned to technology, spending more than 15 years in software and artificial intelligence. But the love of the craft never left us. Today, we return to our roots in our own way: blending natural leather with wood and mother-of-pearl to create contemporary pieces, each unique and full of detail. Muhanna Craft is not merely a set of products — it is a family story, a heritage, and a passion passed down through generations.
